It's the most wonderful time of the year!
One of the greatest things about owning a small business in Charleston, SC is that there are so many other great small businesses in town that I come in contact with. I have so many amazing entrepreneur friends that I have made over the past few years, so it's no surprise that when it comes to holiday giving, I turn to my favorite local, small businesses first!
Here are my top picks for holiday shopping this year:
Texture Design Co.
Emily, the owner of Texture Design Co., and I have become friends over the years, and I love watching her shop (and family) continue to grow! Her designs (often Charleston-inspired) always bring me so much joy, and we had the honor of collaborating with her this year for our Flower Box Candles! I always get a Flower Box Calendar from her each year, and often give some out as gifts!
Since Emily has just added a sweet new baby to her family, her shop will open up again on Dec. 2nd!
Hemming Birds
I met Yana of Hemming Birds years ago when I was just starting Charleston Candle Co. I've always loved her sweet children's designs, and her bibs and burp cloths were some of the first baby items I purchased when I found out I was expecting our little one. I love the quality of her items and that they wash so well. Everything from Hemming Birds make the best gifts for the new moms in your life!
Callie's Charleston Biscuits
If you've ever been to Charleston, you've hopefully experienced the fabulousness that is Callie's Hot Little Biscuit (if you haven't, you better get on it!). The best part about Callie's is that you can shop their biscuits online and have them delivered to your door. They have so many great gift options to choose from, and even our collab Confetti Biscuit Candles are on their site! Honestly, what's better than fresh baked biscuits for Christmas?
The Salted Lantern
I always love beautiful, handmade home decor items... especially when they're made locally! Kait from The Salted Lantern makes gorgeous hand-painted signs, and even has some adorable instant downloads for easy gift giving! There are so many beautiful items to choose from, but there's a little something for everyone on your list!
Island Haus Co.
I met Renee from Island Haus Co. a couple years ago at a holiday market, and I love her whimsical designs and home items. I especially love her selection of gift wrap and cards that make any present look fun and festive! The Pineapple Holiday print is my favorite!
The Blue Root
Nothing says "love" like fresh baked bread. Melissa from The Blue Root has so kindly featured our candles in her gift boxes for the past few years, and when she started offering zucchini bread on her site, I had to try it right away.
It. Is. Amazing. I seriously am in love and it's often a fight between me and my toddler when it comes to finishing a loaf. The greatest part is that it can be shipped anywhere! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it...
Be Little Swings
Another market friend of mine, Melissa, is the owner of Be Little Swings! We bought a swing for Charlie when he was old enough to sit up in it, and in addition to providing relaxing swing time for him, it also is the cutest addition to our porch! She offers so many cute patterns and fabrics, it's honestly hard to choose! These make great gifts for any family with little ones, and they last a long time with support of children up to 60 pounds!
Emily Daws Textiles
I was fortunate enough to do a giveaway with Emily not too long ago with the launch of Emily Daws Textiles. Her designs are gorgeous and add a unique flair to any space (I kind of want to cover my entire house in her Edisto wallpaper). Her pillow covers and blankets would make a great gift for any design loving friend!
