Charleston is a city where beauty unfolds at every turn. While our landmarks, like Rainbow Row, The Battery, and the Arthur Ravenel Bridge, are celebrated all over the world, it’s often the streets themselves that steal our hearts. The narrow lanes, lined with centuries-old oaks, wrought-iron gates, and homes that seem to whisper stories of the past, create the very soul of this city.
Today, I invite you to slow down, take a stroll, and savor four of Charleston’s most iconic and beautiful streets. Each one has its own charm, its own rhythm, and its own fragrance. We’ve tried to capture this magic in our candles so you can bring a piece of Charleston home.
Church Street: Charleston’s Signature Street

If there’s one street that captures Charleston’s timeless romance, it’s Church Street. Winding quietly past some of the city’s oldest homes and churches, this street is a study in stillness and grace. Wrought-iron gates open onto secret gardens, jasmine and gardenia bloom in soft bursts of fragrance, and gas lanterns flicker in the dusk, casting a golden glow on centuries-old brick.
Whenever I walk along Church Street, I feel like I’ve stepped into another time, a gentler, slower Charleston that invites you to linger and breathe it all in. That’s the feeling we aimed to capture in our No. 02 Church Street Candle with its delicate notes of jasmine and gardenia. It’s a soft, floral reminder of quiet strolls beneath Charleston’s canopy of green.
St. Philip Street: The Heart of Charleston Candle Co.

Our flagship studio calls St. Philip Street home, and I can’t think of a better place for our creative heart to beat. St. Philip Street’s layered history, from 19th-century homes to today’s bustling shops, cafés, and workshops, mirrors our own journey.
When we first stepped into our space at 218 St. Philip Street, we saw possibility, a place where wax and fragrance could come together, where we could hand-pour small-batch candles inspired by the city we love. To celebrate this spirit of creativity and community, we created our Five Year Anniversary Candle . It’s a special edition scent that reflects the joy and gratitude we feel for five years of sharing Charleston’s magic with you.
If you’re nearby, I warmly invite you to visit us or sign up for one of our candle-making workshops to experience the magic firsthand.
Meeting Street: Grandeur and Grace

Meeting Street is one of Charleston’s main streets, a showcase of the city’s architectural grandeur. As you stroll along, you’ll pass everything from Federal to Gothic Revival to Greek Revival buildings, with towering steeples and columned facades that remind you of Charleston’s place in history.
We designed our Architecture Collection to honor this very legacy. Each candle in the collection draws inspiration from the city’s stately structures, a celebration of the design, detail, and craftsmanship that make Charleston’s skyline so unforgettable.
Tradd Street: Hidden Beauty

Tucked between Rainbow Row and the harbor, Tradd Street feels like a chapter from a beloved Lowcountry novel. It’s the kind of place where flower boxes spill over iron railings, gas lanterns glow into the evening, and the scent of salt air mingles with blooms carried on the breeze.
Tradd is a street that invites quiet exploration. Every doorway, every window box, every view toward the harbor holds a little surprise. Our Southern Magnolia Candle was inspired by this kind of floral, elegant, and timeless charm. Light one and let it transport you to a slow, golden evening on Tradd.
